1. When the fuse melts, the cause of the melting should be carefully analyzed, the possible causes are:
(1) short-circuit fault or overload operation and normal melting;
(2) The melt has been used for too long, the melt due to oxidation or high temperature in operation, so that the melt characteristics change and mistakenly break;
(3) mechanical damage to the fuse installation, so that its cross-sectional area becomes smaller and cause false breakage in operation.
2. Fuse failure to be carried out when the maintenance work is as follows:
(1) clean dust, check the contact point contact;
(2) Check the appearance of the fuse (remove the fuse tube) there is no damage, deformation, porcelain parts have no discharge flicker marks;
(3) Check the fuse, the fuse and the protected circuit or equipment is matched, if there is a problem should be promptly investigated;
(4) Pay attention to check the N line in the TN grounding system, equipment grounding protection line, do not allow the use of fuses;
(5) maintenance and inspection of the fuse, according to the requirements of the safety regulations, cut off the power supply, do not allow electrified picking fuse tube.
3. When removing and replacing the fuse, it is required to do:
(1) before installing a new fuse, to find out the cause of fuse melting, not to determine the cause of melting, do not remove and replace the fuse test delivery;
(2) When replacing the new melt, check whether the rating of the melt is compatible with the protected equipment;
(3) When replacing the new fuse, check the internal burns of the fuse tube, and replace the fuse tube at the same time if there are serious burns. When the porcelain fused tube is damaged, it is not allowed to replace it with other material tubes. When replacing the fuse with a packing type fuse, pay attention to the filling of the packing.
